well after having my account suspended for failing to maintian a friendly environment, I'm back.

It's funny how if you look back through catholic history, any person who disagreed with the teachings of the Catholic church publicly was excommunicated, burnt at the stake, forced into excile, etc. Kinda seems like they were scared of people that challenged the fullness of truth, like they felt that what they stood for may have been fallable - bit of insecurity, even brainwashing tactics. It's good to see that you are keeping up with those traditions.

Well God bless you all and have a nice day.

If they knowingly incited fights like you did, they would be.

It takes a lot to aggravate Dust.

Dust has no problems suspending ANYBODY who ticks him off.

I do the same on my board.

Steve,

Catholics have been banned from here. You are the first to be suspended and to return.

The martyr shoe doesn't fit.

I'm not going to try to bash Scuba Steve. Even though the manners are kind of lacking. But some of us, at some point, have forgotten our manners and who we are supposed to be serving. Even myself.

I just look at it that maybe he is seeking (without him knowing it). Maybe he is trying to find the truth, maybe his way is one of arguments and hard tactics. Maybe Christ is trying to lead him a different way. None of us have a way of knowing what is going on in his spiritual life. And none of us has a right to judge.

None of us know what is going on in his life. You know, I used to work retail. And once there was this lady that would come into the store I was working at, and she would come in all the time. Every time, she was cranky and mean. I saw her obit in the paper later. She had died of cancer and had no family in the area with her.

Just a small example of not knowing why some people act the way they do. She was dying of cancer and chose to handle it the way she did - bitterly.

Yes, we have a right to defend our faith. Yes, we have a right to *gently* correct when someone is wrong about our faith. But we have no right to attack even when someone is attacking us.

Don't you see? You are just reinforcing his ideas of what Catholicism is and who Catholics are. We are not showing him anything by our attacks. Once again, actions speak louder than words, people.

If he makes you really angry, count to 100 before posting. Calm down before posting something you might regret.

BTW, welcome back Scuba Steve. I hope that we can foster more civil conversation between us and you. (that's not proper grammar but oh well)

Not quite right. Hyper was suspended for being rude, and he came back.

I love Hyper!!!!!!

Only, when Hyper returned, he acknowledged his fault, demonstrating the virtue of humility.

Steve returns with more ad hominem attacks.

Welcome back, Steve, from an infinitely unholy sinner.

What they were scared of, Steve, was people like you getting their hands on the Bible / Tradition and twisting and contorting it to fit their will and not the will of God. They were affraid people would lose their SOULS!

And dispite what the Church has done, the goats that we are, people still persist in trying to find a way to make God fit in their box.
