immaculata
hehe... My morality teacher was talking about guardian angels one day in class, and explaining how you can send them to go places for you.. We could smell the home ec class cooking brownies in the next hallway, so my teacher joked, "Guardian angel! Go get me some brownies!!" Sure enough, a few minutes later some home ec students knocked on our door, "Hey Mr. Roy! Do you want to try our brownies??"
XIX
Wait, I'm having a little trouble comprehending here... Can guardian angels actually be in a place, per se? I always thought angels didn't occupy space.
StColette
Of course Angels can be in a place, our guardian angels have a tough job seeing as they probably never rest because they are watching over us 24/7, which is why I think it's important to say thank you to your angel . They never leave our side unless we request it or God orders it. Your angel will listen to you when you ask it to be elsewhere with someone who is in more need of spiritual help or protection at the time. I know while my brother was in Iraq for a year I always sent my guardian angel to be with him. Thanks be to God he made it through some very close calls. Don't take guardian angels for granted, many people owe their lives to them possibly many of us in fact.

StColette
Wait, I'm having a little trouble comprehending here... Can guardian angels actually be in a place, per se? I always thought angels didn't occupy space.
Body I answer that, It is befitting an angel to be in a place; yet an angel and a body are said to be in a place in quite a different sense. A body is said to be in a place in such a way that it is applied to such place according to the contact of dimensive quantity; but there is no such quantity in the angels, for theirs is a virtual one. Consequently an angel is said to be in a corporeal place by application of the angelic power in any manner whatever to any place. Accordingly there is no need for saying that an angel can be deemed commensurate with a place, or that he occupies a space in the continuous; for this is proper to a located body which is endowed with dimensive quantity. In similar fashion it is not necessary on this account for the angel to be contained by a place; because an incorporeal substance virtually contains the thing with which it comes into contact, and is not contained by it: for the soul is in the body as containing it, not as contained by it. In the same way an angel is said to be in a place which is corporeal, not as the thing contained, but as somehow containing it. And hereby we have the answers to the objections. Theologian in Training
Sending your guardian angel is a great practice. A very holy priest, who has since passed on, gave me some great advice. He said before you go to adore or even go to Mass, send your guardian angel ahead of you, this way you will have "already been there" by the time you actually get there. And this is a man who would send his guardian angel to Fatima and Masses all over the world. St. Pio was also very fond of sending his angel to his spiritual children or asking his spiritual children to send their angel to him with their prayer requests. He thought it was faster than the mail We should all thank and invoke our angel frequently and turn to him often during the day praying quite simply: Angel of God My guardian dear To whom His love commits me here over this day be at my side To light and guard To rule and guide me. Amen.
Birgitta Noel
Guardian Angels are also good at finishing rosaries for you at night if you fall asleep mid Ave! -_-
