dUSt
I don't know if this would be considered "forced" testimonials or not, but I think it would be cool to have a "Testimonials" section on phatmass under the "About Us" category. I often run into youth group leaders, officials in the church, etc who are often apprehensive about phatmass because of the name, the hip-hop, etc. Here's my request, and please only respond if you have truly been affected by phatmass or the Massmatics CD: Please reply with a short (paragraph or less) testimonial of how phatmass has affected you. ie - "Phatmass has helped me grow in my faith... blah blah blah". It would be especially cool to get some testimonials from converts or seminarians if phatmass played any role in your decision. I think it'll help the credibility of phatmass when presenting our mission to other organizations if I had some good testimonials. Please include your first name and home parish/city as well. If you'd rather keep this info private from the phorum (but don't have a problem with me using your name on the testimonials page), you can e-mail it to me instead. Also, if you know of people who would give a good testimonial about phatmass who haven't posted in a while--go find 'em!
Paladin D
Here's mine. "Phatmass has played a major role in my spiritual journey back to the Catholic faith. I was baptized Catholic, but wasn't truely raised in it. Before reverting back to the Catholic faith, I spent a few years searching for what was truth and what was lie. Phatmass provided answers, and I can now say I'm a devout, practicing Catholic." If you want my name, you can use Dallas K. Edited October 15, 2004 by Paladin D

the_rev
When I came to Phatmass, I was discerning a religious vocation as a 14 year old. Now, I'm 15, and through the mission of Phatmass, through it's Apologetics, and Vocation board, I have come to realize more, than a vocation to the priesthood, but more opportunities, to bring the light of the Roman Catholic Faith Everwhere I go. Thy Geekdom Come
I visited Phatmass on a whim and was immediately struck by the orthodoxy of the site. Coming from a background of Catholics in name only, I became impressed with the loyalty of the site to the Magisterium and was slowly brought into it. Although I was in seminary when I first joined, my friends at Phatmass have helped me in my discernment that I am called to married life as well as what I should do about college and my career plans. Phatmass has inspired me to seek a theology degree so that I may serve the Lord, spread the Gospel, promote the Culture of Life, and Preach Holy Apostolic Truth! Micah J. homeschoolmom
When I first came to Phatmass, my husband and I were still in the process of deciding whether or not to be received into the Catholic Church. We still had many questions that we just weren't getting answers to from reading and we weren't yet ready to call our local parish. I found lots of good, solid answers here from both clergy and laity. After we were received, we felt lots of love and support from our Phatmass phamily. --Leslie diocese of St. Paul-Minneapolis

Paladin D
We need more, please spend at least 10 mins typing out a short testimonial. I know most of you have been affected by Phatmass one way or another.
azaelia
My discovery of Phatmass was a happy accident indeed. Living in a liberal Diocese was beginning to make me lose all hope that there were any orthodox Catholics left in the world. Phatmass pleasantly surprised me. Referred by a friend, I was amazed at the wealth of information and resources I found here, and the amazing people I came in contact with. I was beginning to lose the will to defend my faith, but Phatmass gave me the resources and support I need to be a true Soldier of Christ. - Amy Diocese of Portland, ME
Noel's angel
I stumbled upon Phatmass by accident one day, what a great accident that was. I have met so many amazing people on Phatmass and learned so much about my faith. It is great to know that there are still many young people like myself in the world who care about their faith. Phatmass has made my world a better place, it helps me get away from all the troubles of life and there is always someone there, saying a prayer, or giving advice. I have learned so much from Phatmass, both through information given by fellow members of the phamily and also through the reading room and links section.
