Formosus
I am discerning a vocation to the priesthood for my eparchy, but I am also discerning a monastic vocation.

abrideofChrist
Hey, you forgot the concecrated life as well! its cool though, because is isn't as big i guess.... but here is a link to a community I am considering: Regnum Christi Legionaries of Christ The Legionaries, I think, is an order for men and Regnum Christi is an ecclesial movement. For more info, go to Vocation
The Legionaries are having serious problems in the Church. Regnum Christi members are lay and are not consecrated even if they claim to be because of their private promises.
Klaudi87
Completely correct. To keep it simple, we generally call the cloistered sisters nuns and the uncloistered, "active" sisters religious sisters. This is not exactly true but a handy convention nevertheless. Hidden One
The pole leaves out secular priests who are not diocesan, such as the FSSP, the Sulpicians, the Oratory of St. Philip Neri, ICKSP/ICRSS, the Companions of the Cross, Missionaries of the Precious Blood, and the Institute of the Good Shepherd. LaPetiteSoeur
my theology teacher says "if you see a sister she is not a nun"
At a diocesan youth day, a speaker talked about the "nuns in the front pew," aka my campus minister and the principal. The campus minister straightened him out!
OnlySunshine
I'm still discerning if I am called to join the Third Order Dominicans. I am not sure because the career I feel called to has a lot of travel involved and that could be tricky in getting to the meetings each month. I am still very much a Dominican at heart.
