I might be leaving -- I don't know ...

All I seem to do, even without realizing it, is alienate fellow PMers. I've truly never meant anybody any harm on this board. Yet somehow there have been those on this board who have misjudged me as a person and made me out to be somebody I'm not, namely, a monster or a weirdo. And this has mainly been over IM, where I admit it's not always so easy to get to know people and VERY easy to misjudge them. At the same time, while I may have been a jerk at times (and I regret ever having been one), all I've ever truly strived to be is a good, true friend to everyone. And I'm truly sorry for anything I've ever said or done that hurt or irritated anyone on here. But no matter what, I guess I just can't win. I also can't live with the fact that there are those on PM with whom I'd been friends but now am not anymore. I feel like I just can't be on PM if that's the case.

So I don't know when or if I'll be back on PM. Please pray for me. I don't know what specific intentions you should pray for, but please pray for me nonetheless.

Dave, can I make a suggestion? Stay off "Open Mic" but stay on all the other phorums.

This phorum can get off track a lot, especially with the peppered cursing, hormone-crazed threads, and blatant flirting that goes on a lot in Open Mic.

And quit talkin' to peeps on AIM. Don't let phatmass & the phatmassers be your life. Let it accentuate your life. Do you have a young adult group?

God is calling you to find one.

Ash Wednesday

I'm with the Afro, Dave.

I would suggest keeping an arm's length with people on phatmass, rather than cut us off completely. I really enjoy my discussions with people on phatmass, but as a whole I keep an arm's length about most of it and other online dealings. It's nothing personal but rather has more to do with the nature of communication.

I have friends, online, but the nature of my friendship with them is not the same as my offline friends, because face-to-face communication cannot be substituted. When we attempt to do so, we miss out on the subtle things (voice, body language and other nuances) and therein lies a lot of misunderstandings.

Prayers!

Open Mic has nothing to do with it.

And I won't stop talking to peeps on AIM. I've NEVER made Phatmass my life; I don't mean to be rude, but you're really making a lot of assumptions about me -- wrong ones at that.

whoa dude.

Truth in love. Just because you don't mean to be rude doesn't mean you aren't and that you aren't culpable.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Always speak the truth in love. St. Paul. Ephesians. The Bible. God's Word. Jesus. Think St. Therese.

Ditto on Ash Wed & Little Red's comments.

And what's wrong with having a young adult group? It's something I finally have & have been praying about & waiting for quite some time.

PRAISE GOD!

I know what the Bible says. And I'm not interested in hearing a speech on intentions. I know all about that too.

And just for the record, I'm really hurting right now. There's a time and a place for unsolicited advice. Now is not it.

Also, did I say there was anything wrong with having a young adult group? Just for the record, I don't have one anywhere even remotely near here, but that's beside the point.

You know what you need now? You don't need phatmass. You don't need me.

Dave, I don't care about what you want. I don't care about what I want.

I only care about what God wants. And I will fight for that. And when I have nothing to give anymore, I will give that nothing.

You're hurting? I got one word for you.

ADORATION

That's where you go to get healed. Not here. Not the club. Not yo' friends. Not the bar. Not your car. Not work. Not school. Not sports. Not your favorite movie.

JESUS, I CALL ON YOUR NAME!! FIAT VOLUNTAS TUA!!
