BurkeFan
This has started circulating around the blogosphere, and happened on Friday night to a group of seminarians from Kenrick Glennon Seminary (St. Louis). I was invited to go along (since I'm friends with a few of the guys, and may end up at Kenrick Glennon), but I had already committed to aid Students for Bush and the RNC by being a signholder in Spin Alley. This is a very brief summary, but they had done their preparations: they had tickets to the event, information from ACLU and other sources supporting their right to be there, etc. just in case they ran into trouble. They made sure they had no illegal objects on their persons or with them. The Kerry staff and partisans harrassed, threatened, and insulted them -- one woman called them (among many things) "pedophile hookers" while she tore up their signs. I know that Democrats haven't always been lovingly welcomed to Bush rallies, but the treatment of these seminarians was pretty bad, especially by the supporters of a candidate who claims to be Catholic and for that to be a huge influence on his life. Duc_In_Altum
Yea, i know those guys too. They are an amazing witness to the new generation of the holy priesthood. I cant say enough about em. Their silence and prayer dripped a bomb on evil's house. This really brings hope to my heart. Praise the Lord!!!!!!!!!!! -Joe ps- st. michael the archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him. We humbly pray. And to thou oh prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. daugher-of-Mary
God bless our seminarians!!! The author of the blog that Micah linked posted the contact info for Mr. Singer--the rep for the Kerry campaign who answers complaints. We all need to write to the guy about the intolerant treatment of the seminarians and Catholic lay folks at the rally.
