Thy Geekdom Come

Right now, it's this one:

Let all mortal flesh keep silence,
and with fear and trembling stand;
ponder nothing earthly-minded,
for with blessing in his hand,
Christ our God to earth descendeth,
our full homage to demand.

King of kings, yet born of Mary,
as of old on earth he stood,
Lord of lords, in human vesture,
in the body and the blood;
he will give to all the faithful
his own self for heavenly food.

Rank on rank the host of heaven
spreads its vanguard on the way,
as the Light of light descendeth
from the realms of endless day,
that the powers of hell may vanish
as the darkness clears away.

At his feet the six-winged seraph,
cherubim, with sleepless eye,
veil their faces to the presence,
as with ceaseless voice they cry:
Alleluia, Alleluia,
Alleluia, Lord Most High!

One line from one song really got me once...

It was after recieving communion, and I was listening in to the song, normally I spend the entire time afterwards in prayer instead of singing, but this time I listened and I heard:

"You belong to me, and we are One."

It was so beautiful, realizing what had just happened and I teared up...

That one line goes through my head all the time! It was GORGEOUS!

I'm not a huge fan of really bouncy songs, I admit it is very good, but I love Gregorian Chant! It is BEAUTIFUL!

Okay, I'm not the advanced listener like some one...

I got one word, I think, out of that...

Wanna translate?

I've only gotten my hands on a very little amount of chant...

I once had the Rosary chanted... I lost that though...

Spare, O Lord, spare your people, lest you be angry at us into eternity.
The song "Go Make A Difference", because it's all bouncy and stuff...
we just sang that at the one Mass on Sunday cuz it was our priests 10th anniversary at the Newman Center.

Songs get stuck in my head all the time, but I can't think of one right now....I'll get back to this one....

Our Father
in heaven
hallowed be thy name
thy kingdom come
thy will be done
on earth as in heaven
give us this day our daily bread
forgive us our sins
as we forgive
those who sin against us
save us
from the times of trial
and deliver us from evil
for the kingdom the power
and the glory are yours
now and forever

Lead me Lord, lead my Lord by the light of truth, to seek and to find the narrow way. Be my way, be my truth, be my life, my Lord and lead me Lord today ....
