Iacobus
Word history time. The History of the Word Catholic Middle English catholik (meaning universally accepted) is from Old French catholique which is in turn from Latin catholicus (meaning universal) which itself is from Greek, katholikos, a form of katholou, meaning "in general." kat- in Greek means "according to" and -holou (a form of holos) means "whole." Thus the word Catholic, in and of itself, is drived from words that mean "according to the whole" therefore, it is everything, outside of which there is nothing. Thus there cannot be conflicting Catholic views, for one most be from outside the whole. And if one is in the whole than ones views are conformed to all others within the whole, as per the def of the word.
Norseman82
Enda, Discover and develop your talents (whether intellectual, athletic, etc.) and you'll find ways to help build the church while at the same time doing something you enjoy and are good at. Then you might naturally find people who share your interests and talents.
