Ash Wednesday

I'm posting this in the lame area because it's kinda.... I don't know, interesting, but perhaps because it may be much ado about nothing. I'll give Kerry credit where it's due that he debated well and I'd like to think he's not so stupid as to let himself be seen taking something from under his coat ON CAMERA.

But the conservative blogs are buzzing about something from the Drudge (I don't really know who they are, probably Republican.)

I first read about it on www.blogsforbush.com (I read all the political blogs) and the story is at
http://www.drudgereport.com/
Section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns states:

"No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate.... Each candidate must submit to the staff of the Commission prior to the debate all such paper and any pens or pencils with which a candidate may wish to take notes during the debate, and the staff or commission will place such paper, pens and pencils on the podium..."

So what did Dem presidential contender John Kerry take out of his jacket as he approached the stage [with his back to the auditorium's audience]?

What did Kerry place on the podium?
I've seen the video and I don't want to sound like a Republican spin sore loser (because I'm not Republican, and if Kerry won, he won and that's not a big deal to me) but it is very odd, and I would be curious to know what that's all about, especially if that violates rules of taking objects to the podium.

Maybe that explains his big smile.

Ash Wednesday

To me it looks like a piece of paper, being taken out of his jacket while he's turned away from the audience and the moderator, and he unfolds it as he reaches the podium.

Guest T-Bone

If a candidate cheats during a debate, what does that tell us about him?

Would he:

disregard his faith and morals?
lie to us about his oppenant?
lie about his support for a war?
lie about his plans to get out of this war?
lie about his economic plans?
lie to us every chance he got?

Apparently the bloggers maybe still had "Dan Rather Fever" because it was apparently just the pulling out of a pen.

That's why I posted this on the lame board, just to see if anyone else was following this buzz.

Anyway, no question there, T-Bone. We already know Kerry is unfaithful on the large matters just as much as the small. So it's no wonder people were suspicious.

I'm praying for him, even though I can't stand to look at him.
But the mystery was solved when The Post reviewed a Fox News Channel feed from Thursday's debate: Kerry pulled out . . . a black pen.
I think it was W ketchup, actually...we should zoom in to find out.

If it was W ketchup, let's advertise it.

If it was Heinz...don't tell Jacob...
