Aluigi,

basically, i agree with a lot of points here but something that hasn't really been mentioned is chastity and holiness. Every person you date should be a candidate for marriage. lets be realistic, now. chances are that you arent going to marry the first person you ever date. those "candidates" (for lack of a better term) will then become healthy learning experiences for the next relationship. thats aight and im sure ya already knew that.

As far as having multiple partners goes, it never worked for me but people are different and i see how it can be logical...given the legitamate purpose. the key is to watch your step. If youre gonna share your heart with someone while still discerning, temptations can become foggy and go unnoticed. If youre giving little pieces of yourself mindlessly like snuggling, passionate hugging, and kissing especially, it may be very easy to give you a false idea of what a real relationship is. remember, you either want a wife outta this or the directions to find one. You have to make sure that those relationships doesn't become unchaste, unhealthy, and misleading. Chances are, if the relationship does lead straight to marriage, its only gonna be with one person, unless youre into the whole polygamy fad. No doubt about it, someones gonna get broken up with there. In a dating relationship, you wanna be condiderate of the others situation too. Maybe you aren't meant for each other (thanks be to God for His will!) but you have spent the last month passionately kissing and napping together, and snuggling. Passionate kissing and embracing just pushes the buttons for an unchaste and shallow relationship. Those moments are really gonna affect the relationships that the other (especially a young lady!) has in the future. You gotta watch out how yall be huggin and embracin. Also, swimming in the shallow end of the pool of infidelity and unchastity also has its affect on you.

Unchastity can really blind you from reality. You're dating multiple people for the sake of choosing between them. Okay, but what happens when one is more beautiful and the other kisses better, and another has a nice personality. You have just confused yourself through shallow unchastity and wont be able to make a logical decision. That can even happen when you're only unchastely dating one person.

Be mindful of your final goal, Christ. The reason we date is to marry and that marriage should lead us to Christ. Why not go for holiness instead of kissing. Sharing your faith is much more affective and healthy than sharing your body. Then you can say, well, she doesn't lead me to Christ or she does lead me to Christ. Much more simple. Also, no regrets included! No one else is getting hurt or embarrassed either. Also, then holiness wont be hard to achieve once the real relationship begins cuz...well, you already got it! As a pair, asking for God's help in your relationship will be quality time spent. Prayer is key. If the relation-SHIP isn't holy, its a poorly built ship and it's gonna sink morally and emotionally. Plus, the captain goes down with it. ya gotta remember too, that love is patient. It may get frustrating but regardless of who or how many, there is only one life. That life is holiness.

-Joe

i feel like im taking crzy pills

Well, Aluigi, I think that you should really think about what you want from your relationship with that woman. If you don't see it lasting or working.. do something about it.

Prayers,
Lauren
