Guest rockabilly
Greenday-- Great band, and their new album is actually fantastic- maybe a little too much. What I mean by that is that the lyrics are deep, and right now people aren't into " deep " lyrics when it comes to pop rock. Here's my deal when it comes to politics/ religion/ moral beliefs & music: If everyone ONLY listened to bands that shared their beliefs, there would be NO bands. I don't agree with Green Day on their politics, BUT as a longtiem fan, and a musician, I respect them and their music.. BTW/ it's Billy joe, not " billy joel". And from what I understand, Billy is actually catholic~~~~

maxk
I really like them but I don't buy their stuff since they are on the abortion black list and I heard that Billy Joel verbally abused the people at a pro-life booth at a festival. Which really smells of elderberries, cos I love their music.
yeah...same here...

I agree with you, I'm sure a lot of the bands I like don't share my views on other things, but I prefer not to support bands that donate to pro-choice causes. It's entirely a personal thing. voiciblanche
-sigh- I used to LOVE them. Then I saw them on (several) pro-death lists. And, though the music is good... I LOVE babies more.

KnightoftheImmaculate1
When you are supporting a band or celeb that supports the greatest human injustice known to our kind, whether you buy from half.com or whatever it is called, you are helping - even if in a minor way - to spread the culture of death. I know as Catholics you don't want to do that. Remember what Christ said about two masters??? I think we need to look at that again. And when you speak of there being "no bands" if you stop supporting the evil ones, that would be false. False because we have our Catholic artists and who cares if we are few in number, we would be like the great prophets of Israel with an entire nation against one child of God. Sorry if I somehow offend anyone, but really we have to end abortion in all arenas and that needs to start most importantly with the common persons ideology.
