I was paying attention to the content as well, so I hda to look at the cover of the newspaper, but it appears they both wore navy suits with white shirts and a red tie for kerry and a blue tie for bush. Conspiracy? Most likely not.

Tie colors perhaps??

yep- it was the tie colors! Kerry wore red, the color assigned to Republican states in 2000, and Bush blue, the color assigned to Democratic states.
You don't win a debate based on things which are based on personal opinion - you win based on fluidity of speech, preparedness, reactions, etc. Bush totally lost, and I've spent the last few months doing debate carp for school so don't bother telling me how to win a debate. I merely said that one of Kerry's comments on national security was idiotic and fell right into the trap the Bush campaign had hoped he would. I don't know who "won" the debate. Both sides will always say they won. I don't think it matters; althought I don't think any of us should be hoping John Kerry "wins".

i think Bush considered pathos better, really spoke to the american ppl. they both had good ethos and logos is up in the air cuz i thought bush's logos was more solid but some think kerry's logos was better.
