All the Pre-K kids at the daycare where I work are obssessed as well. That is all they want to do.....play Yu-Gi-Oh. They sound like they're speaking a foreign language.

hehe yeah they're pretty terrible

that reminded me of this time my friend and i went to the mall and there was this big yu-gi-oh ternamant. it was really sad. there were grown men playing. we saw this like 30 yr old who had a yu-gi-oh shirt on and was playing like an 8 year old. we decided to leave, it was too scary

I get requests for the Yu-Gi-Oh stuff all the time in the electronics department. They have videos and video games as well as the cards. :(

I have some of those cards. I like to watch Saturday morning cartoons and that's on sometimes so I like it. Then I went to a gaming convention and bought some of the cards. If you want, I can send them to you. I can't find anyone willing to play with me who's older than 10 ...

Ok, that'd be great. I was just wondering if this was a big waste of time or a dangerous big waste of time. You know how I am about that stuff. HSdad thinks they are a waste of time and wishes they would do something else with their freetime. I hate to see them sitting for long periods of time playing cards inside when the weather is so nice.

BTW, my kids play cards with the neighbor kids. They didn't have any cards, so one of the neighbors gave them some. Now they have a bunch, but I see them lying all over the house, so I keep snatching them up. They look so stupid.

Well, if you're 35 they are pretty stupid, but if you have the heart of a 6 year old, like I do, they're AWESOME.

Ok I am going to show how much of a dork and a kid I am, but

I like both Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh.

Both shows are innocent and fun and teach good values such as the benefits of hard work and friendship.

I've never played Yu-Gi-Oh but have played other things similar and I watch the show. It looks like fun. I think it would be a definite time waster, but a good one in that it would teach your child strategy and logic. Oh, and it would be fun, without being too much of a stress on your budget, as long as your kids don't get too crazy about finding all the rare cards, etc.
