Sojourner
OK, not sure if that's a real word or not ... I had my bike stolen the other day, so a friend of mine let me borrow her bike since she only rides once a year and the rest of the time it just sits in her basement. I rode it to work yesterday (yes, I'm officially a bicycle commuter now) and noted it had some minor problems. The tires were low, brakes were loose, wheels a little wobbly. So I decided to take it to a shop, because I'm mechanically challenged. A friend of mine had told me about this little hole-in-the-wall place close to downtown, so I went over there. It was weird. First, the bike mechanic is a woman named Turtle. Then she has a bunch of high school kids who are bike whizzes working with her. They all ride all the time, love it, and are just awesome. It just felt weird, like stepping into another world or something. But they got the bike in shape, and I got a new lock, and everything's totally kosher. :cheer:

Sojourner
Gertrude is too long ... it needs to just roll off the tongue ... And I liked the Facts of Life! That was one of the shows I'd sneak in watching when mom and dad were out.

Sojourner
That could work. I could call her Ana for short. I like alliteration when it comes to naming ... my car, for example, is Sophie the Kia Sephia
