Sojourner
I want a sig. I feel like I'm succumbing to peer pressure, that I just wanna be like everyone else, but I want a cool one. I don't have any ideas though ... anyone have advice?

azaelia
Umm...advice. Hmmm.... What types of things inspire you?
Sojourner
Inspiration ... hmmm ... I love music, the outdoors, good books, good wine, and long walks on the beach ... Oh, wait, this isn't a personal ad. Ahem. Well, I do love music, and am often deeply moved by great musical works. I love being outside, and some of my best prayer times have been while walking or biking through the woods, or even just around my neighborhood. And I'm inspired by great people of faith and courage. St. Joan of Arc, St. Thomas More, St. Francis de Sales ... great people who followed the call of God in the face of heavy pressures from the cultures around them. Does that help at all? azaelia
Does that help at all?
Quite a bit, yes. So basically, something involving the outdoors (preferably woods), music, and a great saint (maybe a quote?).
Sojourner
Ooo, how about some sort of icon for St. Joan of Arc instead of a quote ...
azaelia
Or how about an icon of St. Joan of Arc and a quote?
Sojourner
that could be good ... let me find a good quote (unless you have one in mind?)

Sojourner
OK, I haven't found a quote I like yet, but I re-thought one of the ideas ... how about a dancer, like a ballerina? I've always loved the analogy of dancing as a picture of how we move with God in faith. And maybe a fleur de lis? I'll keep looking for a quote ... Sojourner
"... to sacrifice what you are and live without belief, that's more terrible than dying. " How about that? I think it's from St. Joan, but I could be mistaken ...
