When Someone Asks You To Pray For Them

HomeTeamFamily

When there is a prayer request on here, do you actually pray or do you just make a post saying you are praying?

for me, its usually between no but i feel guilty afterward and yes other.....most of the time i will dedicate one of the decades of my daily rosary to any intentions on phatmass and our youthgroup message boards, and in particular if there is one that is outstanding i will ask for special intercession

I will always say a Hail Mary right after I tell someone I will pray for them, otherwise I will forget. It helps, especially w/ e-mails and over the net... I have to pray it then and there, other wise I will forget.

I say a prayer right then in case I forget to later. Alot of times I remember during Mass or when I wake up in the middle of the night and say a prayer then, too. I remember when Donna had her baby (this was back when I was pregnant with Adrienne) I had been praying for her and offering up my Divine Mercy Chaplet for her and the night she had her baby I was about to go to sleep and realized I hadn't said it yet. Instead of just going to sleep because I was exhausted I stayed awake and prayed it especially for Donna, later I found out that right when I was praying she had been in labor!

I said yes, other form, because I do a combination of two of the things listed, I always say a quick prayer after saying that I'll pray for them and then I also remember them when I pray my rosary each day.

With me it depends.

If it's something minor, I might say a quick prayer, or even a Hail Mary if it sounds a little worse than your usual prayer request. I'm almost always at work or in class, so doing more than that is often out of the question.

But if it's serious, and I haven't been lukewarm, I'll really pray.

I try to include them on my intentions when I pray....and if I forget I always say, "For all those I've promised to pray for" so yeah I pray for them
