MrsFrozen
Congratulations, Ice! How for along are you? What symptoms are bothering you? Pregnancy is rough on me, too.
IcePrincessKRS
I'm right at 16 weeks. The morning sickness was alot of nausea--not as much throwing up this time (praise God!!!), with Adrienne I couldn't eat anything without... you know.... ew--alot of exhaustion, the usual. I stayed in bed and tried to sleep as much as I could for a few weeks. I still get ill when I first get up in the morning if I am sleep deprived, and if I start feeling gaggy I need to eat very soon or I feel like I'll be ill (I haven't risked it yet and don't intend to find out what will happen if I wait too long). Very opposite from my pregnancy with Adrienne, with her, at first, I couldn't eat and then once I started feeling better I couldn't eat much after 6 PM without getting ill. Now that the morning sickness bad part has passed I just get the random gaggy-I-need-to-feed-my-face-moments throughout the day and am tired ALL the time. I feel like I'm eating like a pig because I get the gaggy thing ALOT during the course of the day (I ate like 6 times today), I'm amazed I haven't gained more weight. lol And of course I'm outgrowing all my clothes, AND the "fat" part of my pregnancy with Adrienne was in the Spring and Summer so all my maternity clothes are summery except a couple things (like a pair of jeans and a couple shirts). Even as the symptoms get a little better I'm still not myself and don't like it at all... of course by the time they finally fade I'm huge and waddling so there is another thing to complain about. lol When I gave birth to Adrienne as soon as she was born it felt like I was a new person... or rather, my regular old person, it was like this instantaneous (sp?) change. I'm figuring it will be pretty much the same this time around because pretty much all my symptoms have been pretty much the same just a little less severe (with the exception of the eating thing). Sometimes I think I'm just a whiner and a wimp, but at the same time I try to put on a brave face most of the time. I've been pretty bold in admitting that I don't really enjoy being pregnant lately, but I also know that everyone here is pham and they'll be praying for me and that really helps too. I really want to be one of those joy-filled happy bouncy pregnant women and I'm just not. I know I could have it much worse, I haven't had any serious complications or anything... thats why I feel so guilty and like I SHOULD be enjoying this and more grateful. I am TOTALLY grateful for the blessing that this child is, I am SO happy to be a mother and having another child. I appreciate the BABY , I don't appreciate all the other things that come along with pregnancy ... I hope that makes sense. lol And thank you for listening. I'm sure you probably got an earful more than you expected. Edited September 28, 2004 by IcePrincessKRS
Thy Geekdom Come
Naturally, I don't know from experience what pregnant women act like, though I've heard good and bad. I've decided that the best thing I'll be able to do is just be there to love and help my wife with anything...go to the store at 2:00 AM to get pudding, etc., lol... Afterall...if the women have so much discomfort, the men should go through the trouble of trying to ease it and take as much of the trouble on themselves as possible...sacrificial love... Thy Geekdom Come
Your future wife is a lucky woman Raph.
She'll have to have a lot of patience to put up with my when she's not pregnant, though! I'm a big kid, lol... Some of the thoughts I've had since I left seminary have been incredible to me. The meditation I posted in the NFP Phorum, the idea that I can pray not just to find my future wife but also for her sake, that she already exists and is probably out there looking for me as well, that our children are already planned out by God, etc...it's incredible. Makes me wish I didn't have to wait, but I know I have at least a few years ahead of me. I think 23-25 is the best time for me to marry, but all in God's time, in God's hands... Azriel
Does Danielle act interested in other kids? Adrienne has always liked other babies. I thought it was funny and cute with Adrienne because I'd never really seen a baby her age THAT interested in other kids. She's loved them for as long as she's been aware of them. Today at my appointment we had to keep pulling her back from a new little baby, finally the dad moved the carseat so she couldn't get at the baby. lol
Danielle loves other kids! She is with my cousin during the day and she has a 3 year old and 1 year old. When the day came that she could sit and play with them, she was one happy camper. She's never met a kid she didn't love! That's great for me, makes me feel better about leaving her for part of the day! I didn't feel all that great pregnant either. But it is strange, that I missed it when she was born. Of course she was two weeks early, and I wasn't expecting that.
