the_rev
Well, I'm planning our parish's movie night, and would like your opinion on the above movies. Thanks for your help!

AndreaMercer
Personally, I enjoy The Song of Bernadette
drewmeister2
I like Scarlet and the Black. A person from Church once loaned me the movie, and then I liked it so much, I went and bought it for myself! Definately get the DVD, if you can, because I thought the image was clearer on the DVD, since it is an old movie as it is.
StColette
Bells of St. Mary's !!!! I've always loved that movie !! Plus the subject of the old gentleman finally realizing that he should stop hoarding his wealth, the new building he built, and give it to the school sorta goes along with the readings from the past couple of weeks. That we are to give to those who are less fortunate than ourselves.
the_rev
Well, we already showed Song of Bernadette. They enjoyed it. I think I'm gonna buy the Bells of St. Marys and Black Scarlet, since i can get both on dvd for 13.74 each. If you wanna know where I'll hook you up with a link. Norseman82
Well, if you don't mind foreign films with subtitles, there is a ten-part Polish miniseries called "Dekalog" (The Decalogue). Even though it is not produced by the Church, each episode has as its theme one of the Ten Commandments. I'd be careful about showing it to pre-teens, though.
