Sexual Harrassment

As a person with rape counseling experience, this is most definitely sexual harrassment and must be stopped. I would go to the police, quite frankly, and do it as soon as you can, so that you can remember all you can.
Actually i have reported it. My boyfriend (toledo_jesus), is an RA and when i told him what happened he was OBLIGATED to make an incident report. So this morning i had 4 campus police officers knocking on my door trying to get ahold of me, i was at class, but i'm going to call them. You know i guess i am kind of scared. I've noticed that i've been much more aware of what's going on outside my door. I'm looking through the peephole whenever i hear something :( I guess i'm just second guessing myself, wondering if this is something they should be suspended over. Becauase ny the world's standards this isn't that bad, I think that socially we expect college guys to act like that....but personally i think it's unacceptable and i know God thinks that....i'm just looking for some reassurance and i knew i could depend on the pham to back up my decision....THANKS GUYS!
Oh, good.

You did the right thing. I had to do something like this recently as well. Trust me, it was the right thing.

this really made me angry. When she told me about it last night I said some unkind things about their mothers.
You know, I'm not really surprised that there are people out there like this. I was watching the Real World today and they are just so casual about sex. I realized that this attitude has permeated society. When people are exposed to this sort of thing it just objectifies women.
That's the kicker. For all this women's lib...stuff...the only thing they have succeeded in doing is turning women into chattel. Sex on legs is what a woman should be, and anybody who says different is holding women back. What a racket.

Exactly.

I hate secularism.

I can't imagine.

Try being a rape counselor.

Exactly. Though I'm sure it must be hard on some points to be a male in this society, but I know firsthand how hard it can be to be a female nowadays.

Actually, I can relate...I work in a public library.

Had one bizarre experience that I won't mention here...but with the "new" sexual "liberation," it will be more along the lines of that song by the Kinks, "Boy will be girls and girls will be boys, la la la la LOLA."

don't have much time, cause i have to get to class, so i didn't read all the posts, so maybe someone already said this.... but reporting it was the right thing to do. if they are bugging you, then they're doing it to other girls too. college campuses are dangerous enough with all the people that can so easily access them from surrounding towns, they don't need to be more so by the filthy boys that go there.
there are plenty of gentlemen around though, don't get me wrong! last night my friend and i went on a 'fun walk' (basically walking around, talking, at 1:30 am) we were stopped by this nice guy walking out of the library who asked us if we were going somewhere. we told him we were just wandering, and he told us that we needed to be careful cause of all the yuckies that are around. then he asked if we would like him to walk us home. it was very polite.
so get rid of the dudes that are giving gentlemen a bad name.

Thanks for defending the good men. ;)

Yes, we do exist.

The girls at the Newman Center prefer male escorts whenever they walk back to their dorms and the men always go with them, I have gone a couple times myself.

It's not even a dangerous neighborhood, but there is a sense among these Catholic men and women (and in a diocese as orthodox as Lincoln) that this is part of the complimentary nature of the sexes.

It's disturbing to me, as a man, to see other men acting in ways that so blatently violate the mission God has given them.

And there used to be a time when you could sort of redirect rude behavior with "what if this was your sister, girlfriend, etc" but sadly if you tried that with many guys today, they'd laugh and tell you how slutty they are... :sadder:

I totally agree.

It was right to report them. If you can find out who wrote the note, I'd also press criminal charges on them. And then I'd post my pic on phatmass.

Always with the best advice!

I also work in a library, did you know that some people fear staplers?

Any way, hold those guys to the highest, not just a higher, standerd. ToledoJ also is the man.
If i did that they could get kicked out of school. Which i would feel really bad about, however I am just so repulsed and disgusted by what they did i feel like i have no choice.

So please guys let me know what you think. Do you think this is a harmless "boys will be boys" cenario or should i really try and bust these perverts?
NEVER feel bad for asking to be treated with dignity and respect.

"Boys will be boys" because nobody kicked their ---- the first time they tried this stuff.

They are lucky I am not the dorm mamma!!
