Suggestion: Have a really sweet gold monstrance like the ones you wee on EWTN or a gothic one. Maybe incorporate some qoute on the Tee from the Catechism on the Eucharist.

The idea is Dope-a-licious and I'd spread the Tee around everywhere.

Maybe I should just have the top of the monstrance without the base? That might look cool. I wonder if people would still know what it is.

My hope is to create a design that will get people to ask, "what is your shirt about?"

I nulled my vote, this doesn't mean I didn't like it, otherwise I would have said it's lame. I love the concept, try reversing some colors and keep the host whatever you do, don't take it out! maybe a cooler looking Monstrance. Keep going with it bro, it's too cool to rush.

Thy Geekdom Come

I do think it would be nice if the monstrance were a bit more elaborate...it looks a little too sharp, spikey, and modern the way it is.

I don't think you should get rid of the stand for the monstrance.

I voted yes...but i do prefer my shirts to have most everything on the back...but that may not be feasable for this shirt... I also like this prayer better:
oh sacrament most holy
oh sacrament devine
all praise and all thanksgiving
be every moment thine...

For some reason i have always loved that

Host larger, keep the base, do the rays of grace different sizes with big & small.

I don't understand the second stanza of the poem:

"Over ancient forms of worship
newer rites of grace prevail"

What does that mean?

Down in adoration falling,
Lo! the sacred Host we hail;
Lo! o'er ancient forms departing,
Newer rites of grace prevail;
Faith for all defects supplying,
Where the feeble senses fail.

To the everlasting Father,
And the Son who reigns on high,
With the Holy Spirit proceeding
Forth from each eternally,
Be salvation, honor, blessing,
Might and endless majesty. Amen.

or

Holy God, we praise Thy Name;
Lord of all, we bow before Thee!
All on earth Thy scepter claim,
All in Heaven above adore Thee;
Infinite Thy vast domain,
Everlasting is Thy reign.

Hark! the loud celestial hymn
Angel choirs above are raising,
Cherubim and seraphim,
In unceasing chorus praising;
Fill the heavens with sweet accord:
Holy, holy, holy, Lord.

Lo! the apostolic train
Join the sacred Name to hallow;
Prophets swell the loud refrain,
And the white robed martyrs follow;
And from morn to set of sun,
Through the Church the song goes on.

Holy Father, Holy Son,
Holy Spirit, Three we name Thee;
While in essence only One,
Undivided God we claim Thee;
And adoring bend the knee,
While we own the mystery.

id still dig a lighter color shirt over a darker shirt

the idea is dope, i like the spikey monstrance cuz its simple and still gets the point across

the quote is sweet too, i do like that translation of tantum ergo better......ever think about having it be in latin as opposed to english? thatd be pretty cool as well i think, and may get more of the "hey whats your shirt about?" response that youre looking for......

and a not-so-plain font for the prayer on the back ;)
