skuba steve
OK... PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING: STEP ONE: Grab a baseball bat, brick, fire hydrant, etc. STEP TWO: Bash yourself over the head with it several times. STEP THREE: If needed, regain conciousness. STEP FOUR: Read the following: "I was hungry. You formed a humanities club and you discussed my hunger. Thank you. I was imprisoned. And you crept off quietly To your chappel in the cellar And you prayed for my release. I was naked. And in your mind You debated the morality of my appearance. I was sick. And you knelt and thanked God for your health. I was homeless. And you preached to me of the spiritual Shelter of the love of God. I was lonely. And you left me alone to pray for me. You seem so holy - so close to God. But I'm still very hungry, lonely and cold." STEP FIVE: Stop and listen. Sometimes we don't shut up long enough to hear what God is trying to say to you. Chastisement
Ahhh, the wonders of time zones. When I have my complaining sessions online it's usually about 8pm NZ time. And believe it or not, I actually do something about the problems I "complain" about. I'd wager that a lot of other people here do too.
Anna
Individually and collectively, we do what we can to help the needy. The Catholic Church assists the needy with medical care, building schools, giving food, clothing, etc. all over the world. Many of my friends have gone to jail for attempting to save unborn babies from being murdered by abortionists. (I've come close to being hauled off by the police a time or two myself!) The baby killers don't like it when people offer these poor moms an alternative. So, you see, Steve, we do do more than sit in front of our computers all day. But this is a great place to come for Catholic fellowship during our free time! Pax Christi. <><
marielapin
Do you think all we do all day is talk about what needs to be done? You have no clue what we do in our spare time.
skuba steve
i didn't imply anything about any person. But generally the first people to make a noise are the ones that feel uncomfortable. My church does a lot in the world too... but does that save my butt? marielapin
I apologize. Please forgive my cruel tongue. Now I'm going to leave Phatmass for a while and avoid more occasions to sin. May the Peace of Christ be with you, Steve.
skuba steve
yeah... i am challenged by that. It makes me want to change my heart. BUt I guess that's only really relevant to us protestants because all you catholics are already perfect and holy.

We strive with God's help to do His will, but we fall short. Where did you get the idea that we think we're perfect? I'm sorry, but that's nonsense. As for a change of heart, what I posted was more for a change of heart for me, not for you.
