gonzaga
He's not been the only one Phazzan! Fans were burning scarves and season tickets when they signed their first Catholic! ( I do wonder sometimes...) Anyway, we played Barcelona at Celtic Park last night, and got beat 3-1, although it was a close match. Also, My dad told me last night that I am going to Milan to watch us play against AC Milan! Well, got to go, going to see our new house today at 3 o'clock. If any of you are in Scotland remember and drop by!
DemonSlayer
He made the sign of the cross before running out onto the pitch before a game. He was scrutinised by the clubs supporters for doing this.
Okay, just to be clear, Vidmar who plays for Rangers, was singled out by the Celtic or Rangers supporters? And if it's the Celtic fans, why would they do that?

It was Rangers fans who singled Vidmar out, for being Catholic, when Rangers is traditionally a protestant club.
gonzaga
Yeah, thats right. Nowadays, they are told then can reach down to touch the park, but they cannot Bless themselves. Ironic when most of their team are Catholic but the fans still chant FTP  Edited September 15, 2004 by gonzaga

And, if it was the Rangers fans who singled out Vidmar, why did you say the Celtic fans were'nt much better?
It's pretty easy to figure it out ain't it? Rangers = protestant, Celtic = Catholic. When you bunch those two groups of fans together into the one stadium, that's usually a recipe for disaster.
_bc
What a wonderful couple of days for a Barcelona supporter... 3-1 at Celtic and a 3-0 whooping for Madrid in Leverkusen. No wonder the Pope is a member!
