The Revised Standard Version is the easiest to read, and is the closest to the orginal language. Plus it contains almost no (un)scholarly additions.

For me it is a toss up between DR and RSVCE. I like both of them a lot. I don't know about the Jerusalem Bible...I have the New Jerusalem Bible but don't use it much.

I just found an old DR from 1914 in my house and its really good so far. Plus, you can't go wrong with a straight translation of the Vulgate :D

Let me clarify

Surely the DH contains no errors against the faith, but is simply is not accurate enough for scholarly work.

Although I must say as far as devotional Bible, it is has a special place in my heart.

The coolest gift I ever got was from my Mom, it was and 1812 DH, with the a Catholic Illustrated Dictionary and Color plates through out the Bible...

Still, I find my self reading mostly the RSV

and I stay the heck away with anything with the word NEW in it, due to the biased inculsive language.

Yeah, that tends to be a bit of a problem.
I was just sitting here mentally counting the bbibles in this house... I've lost count.

There's at least 12 in at least 6 different versions...
Hehe...I got you beat. In just a quick count, I counted 102 complete Bibles (I don't know how many translations, but if I had to guess, around 12-15), and I didn't get to count the NTs I have, but they probably number around 30 or more. :D When I was a Protestant, collecting Bibles was my hobby. I have gotten rid of quite a few before now as well.
I want a Catholic bible that is more poetic or in old-english language.
You just described the Douay-Rheims. They are rather expensive though...

Start buying the Navarre Bible, it is better than any on your list. Or get someone to buy you he New English Bible from England.
