thats a rediculous interpretation of this person micah. you are making very harsh judgments about her intentions and that is not up to you to make those judgements.

well i think im going to talk to my sponsor today about not going to convention....

please pham, im asking for your prayers!!

i know this might not seem like a big deal but i go to a magnet school, i am in the theatre arts magnet, i am the president of our thespian troupe, we might be taking a main stage show for the first time like ever in the history of our school (first year we've auditioned for it but we're the first ones to perform this show in the whole state), AND my directors think this is like the biggest, best, most exciting thing to happen all year. I don't think he's going to take too kindly to me saying i don't want to go because i would rather grow in my faith (sadly enough)!!

Thy Geekdom Come
although he is correct its still not nice to judge someone by 1 conversation that they did not even have with the person
As I have understood judging others, it is not judgmental to point out another's flaws, especially when those flaws may be an impediment to something Godly for someone else (they could have kept Laura from going to the conference), as long as it is not from a "holier than thou" standpoint. I'm flawed too, often arrogant and in need of humility, and I openly admit it. I was merely trying to say that it seems this young lady has very selfish reasons for desiring Laura to act in her official position at the thespian convention, I was not saying that she sounds like a bad person, was committing a sin, was eternally damned, or anything else, but merely doubting her intentions and the source of her argument as biased.

Null vote phrom me...just thought I should tell you...I've never been to a good conference with a youth or young adult organization. I've been to two, and they were both a little wacky. Saw David Haas in person though. Would have prefered to see John Dowland, but... meh.

That's a tough call. I'll pray for you an your decision. I think that if you really feel obligated, and it is your duty to go to the thespian convention, then go!! Otherwise, def. go to the youth conference. It's a choice only you can make, since only you have all of the info. Whichever you choose, I'm sure you'll have a great time, and grow closer with friends/God.

True that. I didn't even notice it. Oh well, I'm not taking Latin :rolling:
