Chris Zewe
A few examples I've seen... Grace Truth Love Etc. Why do you people do this?
homeschoolmom
For the same reason some people capitalize Freedom, Liberty and Apple Pie... we just do. There's no rhyme or reason to it.
homeschoolmom
and if you wish to maintain a civil Dialog, please refrain from calling Us, "you people." That's Hostile and Rude.

Chris Zewe
...Well you're certainly not "my people". What would you like to be called?
MichaelFilo
Actually, these things are reference to a singular things. Examples: Grace: the Grace we receive from God (there are other graces, look up the defention) Truth: The Truth within the Catholic Church that is unchanging. There are other truths, but they they can change (ie. scientific truth). Love: This word shouldn't be capatalized except in cases such as, God is Love. Baptism : The sacrament of Baptism. Eucharist: The sacrament of the Eucharist. God: Singular being in which we refer to, also a name for Him. Him: Reference to God Christ : THE anointed one, there were many christs, only one Christ. The list goes on, God bless, Mikey
homeschoolmom
Simply "people" would have worked in your post.
Chris Zewe
But "people" don't. It's only you people that I've seen do it.
MichaelFilo
Actually, carderro (sp?) is not a Christian, but he captalizes most of those words. Buddhists used to, they may still do it, and Muslim scholars have as well. God bless, Mikey

Chris Zewe
Did I say that "you people" was just Catholics? For all you know I could have been referring to anyone who reads it... I was, however, referring to people who do it. Not just Catholics.
MichaelFilo
Then clarify to, "People who capatalize nouns", "you people" is too vague. God bless, Mikey
