Can I inquire Chris ,why sex even has to be, in your point of view , on T.V.? Sex is and always will solely be for creating a new life, the pleasure is just there so we dont get bored creating that new life .Thats all there is to it .

Well, I tried to be charitable in my first post. None of my points were addressed, and so I feel no need to respond to your attacks. I think I'll try to stay out of this thread from now one because a) this isn't the debate table, and b) I'm afraid I'll be uncharitable, and the last thing I need is a bad rep with the mods and/or my warning level raised...

It was nice... conversing... with you guys.
Chris Zewe, I've heard the same argument before. However, it's your own belief against ours. Sure there are ways to censor content, but there are ways to still view it. If we feel that sex and "unnecessary" violence in media should be drastically limited or eliminated, so be it. We have a freedom to speech, as much as you do.

Yes, you do have freedom of speech and you're entitled to your opinion.  Did I once say you weren't?  No, I said you were wrong.  Leaving them ON the air isn't restricting anyone's rights.  Taking them off is censorship.  Apply common sense before responding to me, thanks.
By what I'm getting from you is that somehow, censorship = evil? Because censorship denies peoples' rights? If so, would you support a reality series where a group of guys search for a woman to rape? Or how about a weekly television program that teaches viewers how to effectively murder someone? Of course these are extremes, yet again... I wouldn't be suprised if there are people today who would want them. When Gone with the Wind was released in 1939, the most memorable quote (Rhett Butler: "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a beaver dam") had the public ravaged over that single line. Boy, times have changed!

So if you believe that "reality rape series" or "do-it-yourself murder" programs won't ever surface because of today's standards, what guarantee do you have that won't change in the future? I can see it now, teenagers years from now would be looking back and saying to themselves "What a bunch of censoring wusses". Yep, good ole society.
And people complain why our society is going down the drain. No wonder aliens haven't contacted us yet.

Because you'd staple "REPENT OR BURN!" signs onto their foreheads.
On the contrary, I believe they would be too afraid that our humanistic/secularistic/materialistic disease that has plagued our society, would infect theirs.
