EcceNovaFacioOmni
...to desire a certain coach, of a certain football team that I am very fond of (hint), be relieved of his position?
MichaelFilo
It wouldn't be sinful if you believe that the coach being removed will result in a better coach. It is wrong to wish it for the sheer fact that the coach who is coach isn't someone you like. You must desire it for the sake of having a better one, not for the sake of having the one you have now fall. God bless, Mikey
EcceNovaFacioOmni
I like the coach as a guy. He is a great example of the kind of person the university tries to mold it's students into. The prospective replacement, however, is also a great guy and I've met him myself. The only difference is that one can win football games, the other cannot.
MichaelFilo
Then it isn't wrong. You seem to want a new coach for the betterment of the team. I don't know how charitable it is to voice that opinion out, but it surely isn't wrong to wan tto improve something. God bless, Mikey
Ash Wednesday
Remember, "an honest day's work for an honest day's pay".... If the coach ain't doin' what he's paid to do, then... :wavey: No sin in replacing him with someone that's worth the money. Besides, a coach that can win more for a school makes for a win-win situation on all sides. (i.e. happy school = happy coach.) Chances are, a coach that is doing poorly will end up unhappy where he's at and with his working situation anyway. Hut one, hut two, hike!

littleflower+JMJ
lol okay we probably have some confusion here.... 1.) the dude is a guy (check) and this thread is about football 2.) what he means by desire is "wanting a change" in the coaching staff of a particular football team that he likes...... hehe

Guest JeffCR07
lol, I think we're making this more confusing than it has to be....Thedude (who happens to be a dude) is asking whether or not is is sinful to desire a particular coach to replace another coach. The answer: no, as long as your desire comes totally from wanting to improve the quality of the team/program, and not from malice towards the existing coach. - Your Brother In Christ, Jeff
