Should I Go To Dinner Or Mass?

Recommended Posts

I am in a time crunch, I can not go to dinner before mass at 5, because I have class at six, if I go to mass...

I would like to eat so that I can better pay attention during class

At the same time Mass is more vital then the sun...

I welcome thoughts.

go to mass! go to mass!

i wish i could go to mass today..... :sadder: i could'nt make it to the noon mass and im going ot miss the 6 o'clock evening one as well .....*saddness*

but you should go to mass, a meal will only help you temporarily (give it a couple of hours and you'll be hungry again) while Jesus will do that and a whoooole lot more!! like help you pass the classes with A's because of your dedication!! :shield:

ps. pray for all of us when you go!! :incense: :flowers:

There's a story of some nuns who lived only on the Eucharist.

It is, after all, the only thing we need to sustain us.

You can do either of 2 things:
1. FAST - give it up to God. Be sustained only by Jesus.
2. EAT - grab a snack from a vending machine.

I agree... but at this point in time, you are probably already somewhere. Mass rocks! Jesus stays with you FOREVER. Even if you eat, you will still get hungry, no matter what.
You should come join me at Mass at 6:30 at Cistercian each day. They have an awesome Mass!
Update:

I went to mass and still had time to stuff a meal in me and literally run to class, at which point I wished that I not eaten so fast.

Do yo mean 6:30 Am? other wise I am in class...but if it is in the AM then I will be there, let me know tonight.
he couldnt do that.... dont you have to fast for 20 min after mass?
No. You have to fast an hour before receiving Communion (not an hour before Mass, mind you). After Communion you can eat whenever you want.
