Paladin D
Title says all, but please take note of the following... - State the reason(s) why and what you think of him. - The Dateline report on Benny Hinn can be reliable yet debatable. He also had (and some of his supporters) counter it, on TBN. Basically saying it was wrong, and providing enough counter-evidence. And since the news tends to twist things and such, maybe or maybe not was the same situation with Benny Hinn. ...I'm not a supporter of Benny Hinn. Just curious to why people think he is a fraud. Some interesting stories would be cool.
INRIWarrior3
I found this article done on Hinn back on Aug. 16 of this year and it doesn't paint a pretty picture of Hinn. Two points made that are worth noting: 1) If he does have this "healing power," why is he not going to hospitals and such instead of holding these huge events and asking for money before the healings begin? 2) Benny Hinn Ministries does not release its financial records to the public like the Church does. Hope this helps Paladin D. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/l...ing/6525461.htm

jessinoelw
Saw him in person a couple years ago. Blech. It was all hype and atmosphere. We occasionally go to these things with a friend of ours. He's Protestant, went to Bethany Bible College (who recently took "Bible" out of their name), and is somewhat of a pentacostal watchdog. He was seriously burned by the Assemblies of God church--they said he didn't have enough faith and that's why his diabetes isn't cured. Although he still believes in gifts of healing and tongues, he doesn't attend pentacostal or similar churches. He goes to these conferences to keep current on the heresies of the Word Faith movement. It's sad to watch these speakers. --Jessica Edited September 22, 2003 by jessinoelw
