It would take far too long to give a list of infallible statements issued by the Apostolic See, because as Bishop Gasser said at the First Vatican Council: "Already thousands and thousands of dogmatic judgments have gone forth from the Apostolic See." [Bishop Vincent Gasser, Official Relatio on the Dogmatic Decree Pastor Aeternus, delivered on 11 July 1870 at the First Vatican Council] Nevertheless, it is important to remember that the Pope, in both his Ordinary and his Extraordinary Magisterium, can teach doctrines infallibly, and the two most recent examples of solemn acts of the Extraordinary Magisterium of the Roman Pontiff are the dogmatic definitions on Mary's bodily assumption into heaven (cf. Munificentissimus Deus) and her immaculate conception (cf. Ineffabilis Deus), while some of the more recent acts of the Ordinary Papal Magisterium are the reservation of priestly ordination to men alone (cf. Ordinatio Sacerdotalis), the decree of Pope Pius XII on the proper matter and form for the Sacrament of Orders (cf. Sacramentum Ordinis), and the decree of Pope Leo XIII on the invalidity of Anglican Orders (cf. Apostolicae Curae).
