dUSt
Okay, I hope that my grandmother is interpreting what she heard at mass today wrong, but she said that the priest announced that beginning in October, the Blood would be distributed in individual containers (no more sharing the same chalice). I don't know what to think.

I didn't attend that parish this week (this is the same parish that has the Lifeteen masses, which still have not implemented the proper changes). Ash Wednesday
Is this a temporary thing to prevent flu outbreak? That is the only possible reason I could think of. Otherwise, heads will roll. (Figuratively speaking.)
dUSt
Even if it is temporary, how would it be logistically possible? First of all, where would you get that many containers (they can't be disposable because that would be a pretty serious violation), and secondly, how in the world would you clean them all properly after mass and be ready in time for the next mass? littleflower+JMJ
having the Blood of Christ in the hands of each person in Mass is just crazy and should never happen..... i shake when i have to hold for alittle while when the EM hands it to me..... i could never trust myself nor want anyone (n the pews) else to hold it and all over the place is just asking for something to go wrong.....
