ironman
I wonder how many people in the next couple of years will eventually convert to Catholicism after seeing the Passion? We Catholics, can help guide a lot of people into the Church if we live and learn our faith.....Just a thought, respond if you want!
FutureSoror
It's an interesting thought. The 'Guide to the Passion' book is Catholic, right? That might help a lot of people get on track.
franciscanheart
hmmm i dont know.... im not sure if it will work.... itd be cool if it did though!! edit: thinking that ^^ wasnt clear i just dont know if a movie would convert someone.. most people who arent Catholic arent Catholic because of some very stubborn beliefs about a lot of things and i have reservations about saying that one movie would convert them.. that is not to say, however, that i wouldnt think it was totally awesome if it did happen Edited September 4, 2004 by hugheyforlife

phatcatholic
what i think the Passion movie does do good for the Church is that it shows Protestants the true devotion and reverence that we have for Jesus Christ. we are often accused of "worshipping another Christ" and of placing Mary before Jesus. i think this movie puts everything into perspective for them. the "Stations of the Cross" are a powerful ecumenical tool. when i was in college, we had a "revival" and the leaders of all the christian clubs on campus were involved in planning the activities. as the leader of the Catholic club, i suggested praying these stations. i printed out a large picture of each station to put on the walls, and a prayer guide that they could use to follow each one. it ended up being one of the most powerful portions of the event.
