geo
Dust, If you shut down the radio, know that I'll put any song you want on CatholicJukebox Radio that everyone can stream. I have a handful of Massmatics songs on there now. I'm already paying for that bandwidth, and I'm happy to share it with you and Phatmass. I have to clean up some junk on my site, and then I may have room on my site to host the videos as well. Let me know what I can do. -Geo CatholicJukebox.com
Piccoli Fiori JMJ
I wish I could help with a donation, but as of now I have a low paying job ($6 bux an hour) and I have to pay for school! I REALLY do wish I could help... I'll help any other way though!

dUSt
Aww, man. I really didn't want to come off as asking for more donations. Seriously. If it is gonna put any burden on anyone, then don't donate. The last thing I want to do is make people feel like they're obligated to donate. If you're already donating then THAT'S ENOUGH! I would much much much rather have 10 people donate $5 a month than have 2 people donate $25 a month. If we ALL just give a SMALL amount, then it's less of a burden on all of us. In fact, the only reason I have the option of donating more than like $5 or $10 bucks is because there's that small possibility that somebody who is rich might eventually visit. hahaha Here's the facts: phatmass cost about $65/month for web hosting alone. At this moment, the awesome people who have signed up on the monthly donation plan cover 1/2 of that. That leaves me paying the other half. I was totally cool with doing that, but now I'm simply not going to be able to cover it. If only 5 more people would just sign up for the $5/month plan, that would cover it. That's 17 cents a day. lol

Ash Wednesday
Count me in as one of the five. I have an okay paying job, and I'm saving up for grad school, but five bucks a month isn't a problem. How do we donate?

HomeTeamFamily
ill be the second of the five....but is it ok if i make my payments as like lump checks, like for 3 or 4 months at a time?
Ash Wednesday
I just paid $5 -- Maybe we could have a quarterly, or biannual fund raiser? Marathon thread? Set a goal to get a certain dollar amount from board members and it would help you be paid up for 3-6 months at a time. ... ?
IcePrincessKRS
I know you weren't asking for more donations! It was my own guilty conscience because I was such a strong advocate of the idea in the first place and then I haven't lived up to it the way I had planned. I had hoped to make a few larger donatiions in lieu of a monthly obligation, but I'm going to talk to Matt about going on the $5 a month dealio so I don't forget anymore, it'll just be automatic (right?). I rarely use my credit card so 5 bucks a month on that won't kill us, we'll pay it off right away. I just don't want to have to worry about keeping track of monthly withdrawls from my debit because I KNOW I will forget that one and that'll throw my whole checkbook off. lol

jasJis
dUSt, Why not allow certain things to be sold for funding PhatMass. You could have seperate items, or set periods where the profits go toward paying for the site itself. You could set parameters where after you cover a certain amount, excess would go toward the production of Catholic music as you intended. You could also accept donations of stuff that can be sold on e-bay. You could either provide the posting service, or require it gets sent to you, or you have pre-approval of what's sold. For example, I'm broker than a two legged stool, but I have stuff I could donate that could be sold and generate a few bucks and have no idea how to sell it on e-bay. Maybe it's not God telling you to cut back on the size or features of PhatMass, but time to seek other funding so that you can grow.
Br. Augustino
Hey Dust you got some of my prayers comin, and if I hear of anyone wanting to do some good to some poor totally Catholic thing I will keep you in mind. I agree that this should be a time of added creativity and not scaling back...
StColette
I'm kinda broke from tuition, fees, and book for college at the moment, but the first money I get is being donated. You're in my prayers Dust.
