Scofizzle
If during confession the preist is in persona Christi does that mean it is inappropriate to address the preist directly to ask him for advice or ask him questions? Secondly is the preist only in the person of Christ while absolving you from sin or is it from the begining?
Pio Nono
JMJ 12/26 - The Holy Family (St. Stephen the Protomartyr) Scofizzle, The priest has been given authority to absolve sins by Christ; the priest does not say in absolution, "Christ absolves you...," he says, "I absolve you." Therefore, it's cool to talk to him as Fr. Whatchamadiggity. Secondly, the priest always acts in the person of Christ. Hope this helps.
