Apologetics - Used In English Class

Who says Apologetics isn't used in everyday life ;)

A little background info first, the University I go to is very secular and the area in which I live is predominately Protestant.

Today during my British Lit. course we were talking about this story called Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, and my Professor began talking about the enormous amount of references in the story to the veneration of the Blessed Virgin.

Well, she continued on to talk about the Reformation and asked the date of in which it occured, out of a class of 30 something students I belted out "1517!" My Professor looked totally shocked that I could rattle off that date so quickly.

Then we began to talk about the symbolism of the number 3 in the story as well, since it is a highly Christian based story she once again asked what the 3 symbolized. The class was yet again quiet and I piped up and said " The Holy Trinity"

The girl who was sitting next to me look totally perplexed that I actually knew all this. lol

Hehe see learning Apologetics does help in everyday life heehe ^_^

God Bless,
Jennie

Awesome Jennie!!

The Trinity comes up a lot in literature! I love discussing things with Christian background in my class because I know what's going on when so many other people do not and that is somewhat empowering!! :)
