Brother Adam
This sounds phishy. Then again, a holocaust sounded phishy to the Western world too ("Oh no, Hitler couldn't possibly be sending Jews to death camps") so who knows.
Laudate_Dominum
I first heard of this at least a year ago, not fetus soup specifically but the eating of aborted human babies for "health" reasons. I can't prove it exactly, but I have strong reason to believe it is true. Also I can testify that in our own country you can buy aborted babies, either whole or just certain body parts, no questions asked. I've seen the catalogs. The fetus eating that I heard about was in Asia, but in Europe I've heard of beauty creams and things made from aborted baby tissues. You'd be surprised what is done in America too. What a world. StColette
And, a note to StColette, Swift's "Modest Proposal" was intended as satire, mocking certain cold-blooded economic and social theorists of the time. (Swift did not actually advocate killing babies or cannibalism!) Shows how times have changed - back then, it was obvious that something so outrageous was not to be tacken seriously - today, I'm sure there are many who would take it at face value and call it a good idea!
yep yep right you are it's a satire but the subject matter reminded me very much of this topic.
jmjtina
they're are actually baby parts in some really expensive lipsticks and other cosmetics.....I'm not as skeptic when it comes from what a friend saw on EWTN, the fact is, it truly is a possiblility. I don't think the priest said it with the effect, "You HAVE to Believe me! This is TRUE." I think he was just laying it on the table at what true evil we are up against. As L_D stated, you can buy aborted fetuses from a catalouge....pick your month and they deliver. You'll see it more in public university, usually, all 9 months. I saw a "display" in which they even had twins in a jar. The soup saddens me. Let's pray for an end to Abortion. Lord have Mercy. Christ Have Mercy. Ash Wednesday
Like Bro Adam said, people were skeptical about a holocaust. Considering Nazis would make soap and lampshades out of human skin and fat, and that cannibalism is a part of human history, something like fetus soup or eating them for "health" isn't out of the question. I think having investigations on the matter and exploring these rumors would be a worthwhile thing. The more solidly a rumor is verified, the greater the outrage it would create.
Hold on...what about Burt's Bees?
Burts Bees comes from bees' butts. :bee:
XIX
That is disgusting. But when you think about it, if the unborn are not human, then it's really okay to do whatever you want! Surely no worse than eating chicken soup... if the unborn are not human. My point is that the most extreme pro-abortion positions, in a way, make more sense to me than the middle of the road positions. Of course, my own "anti-choice fanaticism" is the only that I can make real sense out of.
ICTHUS
Yeah Well I trust Fr. angelus shaughnessy.
Even if Fr. Angelus Shaugnessey is wrong? You Romanists are far too trusting, which is why you let the Pope lure you into all your heresies. Though I agree that the concept described at the beginning of this thread makes my stomach turn.
Why do you condescend with the use of the words "Romanists"? Weren't you the one who "apologized" for this before? Or was this someone else? Is this a tongue in cheek thing, or an act of snobbery? I've asked you about this before.
