Apologetics

I am a Catholic who believes with all my heart and soul in Christ and his Church. I try my best to defend the faith but I do a very poor job at it. Not because I don't know what the Chruch stands for or teaches, but because I can't express it in my words. I have read many of the posts on this board and I was wondering what can I do to possibly improve my Apologetic skills?

I work on mine by doing Apologetics tracts on certain subjects like Marian doctrines, Confession, the Pope, etc. It helps a whole lot :)

God Bless,

Pick, which topic you usually get asked, and stuck with, then go to forums and chats, reading conversations, learn the way conversations go, read the posts and replies. Make notes, of the key verses and statements, then come here, we can help if you want, or if you got a commentary and or catechism, use that to get the Catholic teaching. Thats the first step.

Eventually after a while, you can tell where a conversation is going and whats gonna be asked, I can tell where a muslim is going within 6 lines of a conversation now.

it takes a while, but well worth it :)

Oooh to add to Paul's post !! Don't forget the Bible !!!!! It's usually the one tool that Protestants will accept. It's a good thing to know where to find the verses to back up Catholic teachings :)
