A friend once told me that you don't really love the person until you are married to them. Reason: it's just a really big crush.

Anyone agree with that? I kinda see her point for kids who are not really seriously dating. But I mean, if you are dating someone and you think that they are the one, wouldn't it be alright to say "I love you?"
Love is a choice. If you choose to love, then you will love.

I fell in love with, and loved my husband before we got married. That's a big reason why we got married. Because our love for each other was so strong that we knew that living without each was not an option.

Can you love a person without being married to them? Yes. Just because you're married to a person, does it mean you love them? No.

Love is action, not feeling.
Hey, me too Katie!! We dated for about three months (really 2 1/2), I graduated college 3 months later and we were married another 3 months after that. We will be married three years on December 1st, and are expecting our third child. There's just something about the number 3.

Oh, and yes, the point of this thread, we both said "I love you" before we were engaged.
hehe I'm a year and a baby behind you. ;)
