jasJis
Yes. I said I love you before we were engaged. Being in love doesn't mean you should be married. It means that you should consider it. Love is a decision you have to make every day for the rest of your life. If you don't think you can do that, don't get married. The love I feel for my wife now after 20+ years of marriage is much different than at 2 months. Newly wed love doesn't even begin to hold a candle to 'oldy' wed love. It's like a keychain flashlight and a solar flare different.

IcePrincessKRS
I told Matt I loved him before we were engaged... of course we only dated for 3 months (engaged for 18 months so I could finish college)... we knew we wanted to get married right away. mamalove
Hey, me too Katie!! We dated for about three months (really 2 1/2), I graduated college 3 months later and we were married another 3 months after that. We will be married three years on December 1st, and are expecting our third child. There's just something about the number 3. Oh, and yes, the point of this thread, we both said "I love you" before we were engaged.

Azriel
While Dating... Sixteen years, and ten years of marriage later we still say it every day, more than once.
picchick
Didn't vote just had a comment. A friend once told me that you don't really love the person until you are married to them. Reason: it's just a really big crush. Anyone agree with that? I kinda see her point for kids who are not really seriously dating. But I mean, if you are dating someone and you think that they are the one, wouldn't it be alright to say "I love you?"
