Hey I told a friend of mines dad I would help out at his logan farms store before the all-star game here in houston. I thought maybe one or two days wouldnt be so bad. I turned out to be 6 18 hour days in a row. Now that was not fun. So be glad it sonly for one day. And youwill lso be glad when you get your paycheck. Much like I was. :rolling:

You only had six days. I've worked these kind of days for two to three months straight.

The fact that makes it hard was thinking I'd be off hours ago, to find out that I get to close as well...

I'm not in perfect health, so it makes it worse.

It's the tranisition that makes it very difficult. I was a Baptist for over 21 yers, and to fin dGod telling you one day that you'rein the wrong place isn't the easiest thing to accept, or deal with. I, however, am listening to God, and am following Him and becoming Catholic. I'm not comfortable in RCIA, and I really don't click well with many people. There's only two people there that I click with, and I don't really get to talk to them until afterwards.

I think a big part of it is going into RCIA with the understanding that my husband would be right by my side the entire way through. And then finding out that he wasn't going to finish. It's not very easy to be on a completely different jourmey than the catechumens, and to top that, knowing that technically I'm not even supposed to be going to RCIA. I am a very critical person, my husband can vouch for me. So, now combine all these things, along with the fact that I hate change, and you'll soon understand why I don't like it (going to RCIA), and don't find it much fun.

.... I was utterly miserable in RCIA, too. For different, but similar reasons. Thankfully, it was only 8 months of my life!

Two really good things:

Over Time

and

Offering it up for protestant brothers and sisters who have no one to offer up prayers for them.

Rejoice in your suffering.

Don't listen to the devil. He will make you believe it is all in vain. He is a liar. He makes us paranoid, makes us question the people & beliefs that have carried us so far.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness & snares of the devil...

You are stronger than the devil. Rejoice in your suffering.

I am with you in prayer tonight as I go before the Blessed Sacrament.

I LOVE TO SUFFER!

Remember me, O gracious Virgin Mary.

I don't think it's neccessarily the devil that is making me not want to go.

I can't wait to be in full communion with the church again, but it's the way the whole program is run. I'm not too hot on the idea. I have been through a lot in my short life, and because of that, I don't respond as most people do. It takes me much longer to open up, and much longer to trust.

For me, coming from over 21 years of Protestatism, it's not that easy to just jump into the water.

May I suggest the Chaplet of Divine Mercy?

If you read about the history of the Chaplet, Jesus reveals to St. Faustina that His heart is abounding with mercy for us, but we don't trust in Him enough.

We can walk on water. You can make it through RCIA.

Jesus, I trust in You!

Teresa... I feel your pain.

Offering it up is SO difficult for me. I think I whine too much to make it count for much. :( I pray for the souls in Purgatory to make up for it.
