hey colette, ever get anything on the history and origin of the chaplet for conversion? oh, and is it cool to use the combo-medal i linked to as the crucifix for my rosary?

the ulterior motive of this thread is to aid in my designs for a rosary that practically and creatively allows as many of the sacramentals, traditional devotions, and popular saints to be employed on one easy to use rosary. sort of a super-sacramental that can be used for anything that yields some extra specific graces and/or general spiritual profit between Sacraments.

I've seen a few Rosaries that have a combo-medal on it so I don't really see any problem with that :) I haven't found any history or origin on the Chaplet of Conversion yet. I'll keep checking through my books and on the net ^_^ I never give up heheehe :)

see, i'm thinking a ladder rosary with a holy water centerpiece and that combo medal with the corpus as the crucifix. then a benedictine medal could be attached...there's all sorts of stuff you could do... ^_^

it's cool that you're into the sacramentals. i'm a firm believer in the devotional uses of them, as well as the extra graces one might procure from them. there are a lot of people who are so paranoid that they are used as charms or superstition that they stay away from them altogether, which i think is a real shame :(
