Ash Wednesday
*hugs* I'm glad you are all right. My car died a couple weeks ago, too. It wasn't on the highway or freeway. That's really scary stuff. Fixing it did cost $650, though. That's scary.
theculturewarrior
Looks like you made it home okay, which is good, but I'm sorry you had to go through that. Once my clutch went out on the highway. It was only one lane for a long time, and I was driving 15 mph and nobody could pass. I told my phriends, "first I had a three on the floor, then a two on the floor, then a one on the floor." Hope all is well. How's Jesús? (Oh, I'm just making conversation, actually, I saw him last Sunday.)

littleflower+JMJ
 i almost died too. i was coming home from subbing and the one highway that goes thru my little town that i have to cross to get to the other side of town when it died. 18 wheelers coming at you when your half in their lane and they dont slow down is scary stuff. but yeah im alive. it was my mom's car, it did the exact same thing last week i think but we didn't expect it to happen again..... thats why i like sticking to driving my truck...... two guys kindly helped push the car off the hwy.....bless their hearts, they got me out of there........ Thy Geekdom Come
My parents used to have an old Crown Vic and they let it go to the use of my openly, hopelessly redneck cousins. Some time later, we noticed them driving a different car and asked what happened to ours (we had let them use it, not given it to them, and if they sold it, we wanted our fair share). Well, no need to worry. They hadn't sold it. No...we couldn't be that lucky...it died on the interstate in Iowa so they stripped it down and left the frame for state troopers...without even so much as telling them about it. Lovely.
