Oik
I vote American Catholic. I say I am Catholic and live in America, not an American who is Catholic.
Ash Wednesday
I selected the term "American Catholic" even though, for some reason, the term makes me gag. Not out of lack of patriotism -- I guess I just associate the term with liberalism. I'm a Catholic who happens to be American. Or something. Catholic. Citizen of Earth. Oik
I know, for a while I was apprehensive about the term myself. I understand your feels because I felt the same. However, when I thought about it in terms of words, I realized that American was denoting the country in which my ministry resides and/or country of birth. Ex, Italian Catholics are catholics from Italy. However, we are ALL Catholics. If you say Catholic American, we aren't all (in the world) American. At least that is how I see it so, yah! Guest T-Bone
I am a Catholic American...a Catholic FIRST, then an American. The term "American Catholic" makes me think there's a special church for us, apart from the UNIVERSAL one.
Scofizzle
I selected Catholic Amercian...but after reading everyone's posts I think I may have picked the wrong one. What I was meaning to say is....I am Catholic before I am American. Which leads to my next question. If you were born in the Vatican and were a citizen and then moved to America and became a citizen, Would you be a Vatican-American? Cuz that would be something you could be proud of!!! Mrs. Bro. Adam
I'm just Catholic. Is there really a need to add anything else to it? I mean, it's one faith, why seperate it with titles?

Andrea348
Catholic American - good because it puts Catholic first American Catholic - good because Catholic is clearly the stronger word I dunno... I'M JUST CATHOLIC....and I happen to live in America.
BeenaBobba
I chose Catholic American. The term "American Catholic" has too many liberal Catholic connotations. God bless, Jen
