ironmonk
The entire premise is charitable... when someone appears to be lying, with overwhelming evidence, people need to point it out. Charity DEMANDS correction. Just because something is not sugar coated and is blunt DOES NOT mean it's not charitable. Some here would benefit greatly to learn about human nature and how the thought process works.

MorphRC
I agree. I find it better to correct the person, bluntly and quickly, instead of spending pages and pages skipping round the bush with 'ice-topping' for every comment.
ironmonk
Some might say "do it in a PM"... but... If one of us is sensing something, maybe there are more of us thinking the same thing. Also, people can agree or disagree with the poster doing the correcting and the poster getting corrected can learn. Maybe light can be shed by a third party. Debates are about learning, not about winning and loosing. Debates are for finding the truth in matters, and exploring different points of view. Almost every relationship has some sort of conflict, sometimes it is good because people grow. God Bless, ironmonk
picchick
I agree. Don't do it in a PM. If I said anything wrong in a thread I would want it corrected. Not only for myself but for anyone else who maybe reading my post. Thanks Iron.
IcePrincessKRS
I'm not taking sides here... I can see both sides of the coin, but here's some food for thought. 1--for those who oppose public correction. Even if you wanted to correct certain people in private they can't access private messages because of their group status. 2--for those who prefer the blunt approach. There may be better ways of bluntly correcting people than starting polls. I know it can be done and have seen several people do it in the past. Norseman82
If what is being corrected is an error regarding faith and morals that could cause the faith to be misrepresented, then yes, it should be done in the open and not limited to PMs. This is because there could be untold millions/billions that we don't know about that could be viewing the error - therefore it must be corrected publicly! Budge
So who is it? You are going to bring suspicion on every Protestant here...unless you give a name.
p0lar_bear
So who is it? You are going to bring suspicion on every Protestant here...unless you give a name.
Budge, Ironmonk posted a thread addressed to ICTHUS that says that he does not think ICTHUS was ever Catholic, but rather played a Catholic going through a crisis of faith in order to draw people away from the Church. Personally, I'm inclined to think that ICTHUS is just a very conflicted kid....

I thought others here might have thought the same thing because of things I've read on this board and other boards regarding this board. megamattman1
okay as long as we're being honest. I always thought Brother Adam was a Catholic pretending to be non and learning. He had something in his profile about he was up to something and only what's her face knew about it. And you all know his story I'm sure. But anyway just sayin is all.
