Oik
Cmom: Agreed! Also, the article is specifically talking about pro-abortion and dissenting catholic public figures. In this case, Cannon law makes provision for denying communion.
i dont agree, wat if kerry went to confession right before Mass
Then he should hold a press conference immediatly afterward publicly repenting of his dissent and proclaiming the Truth of Christ and His Church. Scofizzle
Unfortunately our parents generation (for the most part) was poorly Cathechized. This has led us to a point in time where many people who are adults that claim Catholicism, do not know the Truth about the church and what the Chruch stands for. Their own thoughts and beliefs have overidden the teachings of the church and they do what they want. This leads to biased polls, such as this one, as well a skewed view of exactly how strong Catholicism is in this great country. Our politican leaders who claim Catholicism need to stand up and either be good, holy, Catholic leaders (Which would probably get them elected) and stop riding the fence and make a stand on issues that are clearly morally and ethically wrong.
