Changes To Lifeteen Masses

I'm not posting this to comment upon Lifeteen Masses. I've never attended one!
But came upon this bit of information and thought it would be of interest to everyone.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has sent a video to all LifeTeen parishes, instructing them on the new GIRM and what changes need to be adapted.
The participants will no longer gather around the altar during the Consecration, and "The Mass never ends" acclamation at the end is to cease.

Lifeteen's response is refreshingly obedient: http://www.lifeteen.org/girm1.asp

Love to all!!!

My husband used to work as a YM in a lifeteen parish and he'll be starting it at our new one. I am so happy with the choices the USCCB have made for lifeteen. Thse things bothered me and the response from lifeteen is impressive. :D The kids are having a hard time with it though in some cases.

As a youth minster in a Life Teen parish, I know that my fellow youth minsters will be obedient to the Bishops' request. After that is what we are here to do, follow God, and we trust that the USCCB has our souls best interest in mind.

certainly they have bucked the trend of most organizations like them...by showing obedience to authority.
for that they are to be especially commended.

gosh, that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I have to say I'm really impressed with them. There are even many "conservative" catholics (though I don't like that word) who don't show that kind of obedience to the Magisterium. I love faithful catholics! :D
