goldenchild17
Anybody have any good info on this order? I'm almost positive I have a vocation to the priesthood. Now I just need to determine what type of priest I am to be... Anyways, I was referred to this order by a friend of my mom's and then recently at a local Catholic conference a couple of them showed up at a booth to buy some stuff for their station in Alamosa, Colorado(south of where I live). Then tonight my parents and my brother went to the mall to go to confession(long story, but their is an order of priests that are wonderful and they do daily mass and confession at our mall) and their were a few priests and brothers from the SOLT order there. They met up with my parents and anyways, it seems like more than just a coincidence... And then with one of the local priests(the vocations director) discouraging my vocation to become a diocesan priest(I dunno, I guess for insurance issues as I am a parapalegic...) I think I should consider it more. All I really know about them is that they are dedicated to Mary and they take a vow of poverty. I'd really like to enter an order that's close to Mary. Any ideas? goldenchild17
Also, I'm pretty big on apologetics... So I'm hoping that's part of God's plan in my vocation...
Crusader_4
sorrygoldenchild...i do not know anything more about the order. However from what you have mentioned they seem to be orthodox and that is something that i would look for.
goldenchild17
Okay, if anybody's got more info I'm basically wanting to know how orthodox they are.
Laudate_Dominum
They are a very good order! I've met a couple peeps from that order and have two friends who were thinking of joining and spent time with the order (one of them may have joined by now, I'm waiting for him to return my last email). Father Corapi is a member of SOLT. I've also heard that they have a pretty good flexibility with apostolates and things so that if a member feels called to pursue something (like Fr. Corapi and his talks and things) they are able to do it more so than your average order. God bless.
Laudate_Dominum
And probably my favorite Marian order would be the Franciscans of the Immaculate. Their spirituality is based on St. Maximillian Kolbe and they have a fourth vow of Marian Consecration. the_rev
I'm considering the following but leaning more towards the first one. 1. Diocesan Priest for the Diocese of Green Bay (I'm pretty sure this is where God is callling me to be) 2. Jesuit 3. Norbertine These are the orders the Lord has shown me and the ones that intrest me but I'm pretty sure I'm called to Number One

Indwelling Trinity
Father Kennedy the founder was a real saint. I know he 2as an exorcist, I think in Kansas when he was beginning his foundations. He was very. Faithful to church teaching. Father Corapi was a successful business man become priest. He was accused of having relations with a woman. When ordered to move from. His condominium and return to the mother house he refused The Vatican censured himfrom preaching or saying mass publicly. Finally he was censured. His condo he was living in was was appraised at being close to $750,000. On the outside it seemed he threw all his vows out the window. He. Pledged to start a start a magazine one called the black shel. A short time l later the notice was taken down. As far as I know he has not been heard from since. But I am catching up with chich happpenings. Others may know more. Let's pray for him.
sr.christinaosf
I became acquainted with them when I was in novitiate and then serving in Rugby, North Dakota, as they have Sisters and priests serving in a town in the area. We actually had them (the Sisters) over to our convent once for a little gathering. It was nice.
