White Knight
I believe I heard Mel Gibson saying that the Special Effects were in this new movie of his, thing is, There So good, that you can't tell that there special effects. The Demon, The Bird, Part of the Beating of the Cat of Nine Tails, All very stunning effects, All though if anything I'd have to say the Bird was the most convencing of the majority of the Special Effects, that Bird looked so dang real, only time you could tell it was fake was when it looked its eye, but other than that it LOOKED REAL! and it fooled me the first time I saw the film, but then again I wasn't really looking at the Special Effects of the movie, I was caught up in the Emotional Moments of the Film. I say The Passion of the Christ, is worthy for Best Special Effects & Best Picture. Edited August 24, 2004 by White Knight
MorphRC
I agree! But i doubt the jews, secularists and anti-religious ppl in hollywood, would even allow a nomination, even though it was one of the best movies this year and all time.
White Knight
Well with how many bad movies there are this year, they may nominate it considering it is the Best movie of the year. and theres very few out there so far.
MorphRC
True. But the Jews will start screaming anti-semiticism as usual, and the athiests will find someway to make it offensive to them. And the Ultra-Pacists as well..lol If it gets nominated, Ill be so happy, but dont put your hopes up bro
Crusader_4
Actaully Hollywood is in a stickyplace...it is no doubt the best film of the year no one can disagree with that. Last year Mr. Moore's epic cheezy fiction documentary won an oscar. So Hollywood has to make a choice here does it have an agenda or not? If it does it loses all credibility by not picking the Passion of the Christ...and if it does pick the Passion of Christ it is one battle for the good. White Knight
It better get nominated, other wise Hollywood is going to lose a huge aduience that they never knew they had in the first place, it is a total mistake, or it would be, if they didn't nominate "The Passion of the Christ"
MarieCecilia
Yeah I think that it should be nominated and the effects were very good. But the fact is that anything good will be attacked and so this movie is being attacked and is not likely to be nominated.
L5
I think the film will get nominated...I think Maia Morgenstern might even get a nomination for best actress... The Passion for all intents and purposes "saved" the box office last Winter so that deserves recognition. The fact that no christian anti-semitic attacks, major or minor, have sprung up really muffle up the cries of anti-semitism. If Hollywood wants to boycott Mel, they'll just shut him out of being nominated for Best Director.
White Knight
Ya but its all or nothing for this film basically if it gets only nominated for one thing its kind of being Baist, considering this film deserves every award, Yes you heard me EVERYONE of them lol. Best Picture Best Sound Best Visual Effects Best Choreography Best Actor Best Actress Best Director. It needs all that other wise its a bunch Baist cut downs. Heck I'll be greatful if The Passion of the Christ, even wins one of them but still in my opinion it would be unfair for it not to win.
DemonSlayer
One thing that may prevent Jim Caviezel being nominated for Best Actor, is that there wasn't much dialogue involved for him.

Either deny a great movie and be hypocrites and no one will respect those awards anymore, also the actors paychecks will take a dive to! or Accept it as a great movie, and potentially support God. White Knight
Oh well, Thank the LORD for giving Mel Gibson the ability to even get this film out in the theaters and on Public World Wide DVD.
