RemnantRules
Blessed Be God!!! I was wondering what the church teaches about the Jurrasic period of this time on Earth b/c if God created man then where was man during the time of the Dinosaurs and if they were existing then how come man survived and Dinosaurs didn't? Just had this question on my mind. Thanks God Bless Jason Gregory
Laudate_Dominum
The Church does not have specific teachings regarding Dinosaurs since this does not pertain to faith and morals which is the proper domain of the Church's Magisterial office. Current scientific evidence indicates that Dinosaurs and humans are far removed in history. There are millions of years between the extinction of the Dinosaurs and the advent of man. A Catholic can accept these things and not contradict the Catholic Faith. The official teachings regarding exactly what aspects of Genesis are to be understood literally do not exclude the possibility of past ages on earth before the coming of humanity. God bless you.
