KnightoftheRosary
I was just curiouse to know what you as priest and seminarians go through as far as trials through temptaitions. This may be a very personal subject for you but if you wouldn't mind sharing them please email me at KnightoftheRosary@Hotmail.com . I am very much interested to know how you resist them and what you go through. I am currently entering a small formation program but soon will be entering seminary. If its to personal don't worry about it, I just wanted some insight. Thank YOu again -Knight-
cappie
Depends what you mean by temptations. I often meditate on my own temptations and I use the scene of Jesus' temptation in the desert. After forty days of fasting, Jesus need for food was understandably acute. Satan uses this legitimate need to tempt Jesus to "prove" his significance and power. Temptation often results from such legitimate needs. What needs do you have in your life that aren't being met? are you tempted to meet those needs in illegitimate ways? Put yourself in Jesus' sandals; How can the strength Jesus exibits and words he speaks encourage you?
